Dr. Jingyi He

Dr. Jingyi He attended Sun Yat-Sen University of Medical Science in China as a Medical Doctor candidate from 1999 to 2001. She transferred to Brandeis University where she received her Bachelor of Sciences degree in Biology in 2004. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 2008 and completed her General Practice Residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in 2009. Dr. He finished her residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Boston Medical Center. During her residency, Dr. He joined an expedition to Colombia with Healing the Children to repair cleft lips and palates of underserved children.

Dr. He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Massachusetts Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association and Massachusetts Dental Society.

Dr. He is board certified and she is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

She has privileges at Mount Auburn Hospital and Franciscan Hospital for Children.

She is certified in CPR, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS).

Dr. He is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Dr. Somi Kim, DMD MD

Dr. Somi Kim is a board certified Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon, a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and maxillofacial Surgery, and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Dr. Kim attended Amherst College where she received her B.A. in 2004, majoring in Physics and Biology. She then graduated from Harvard School of Dental Medicine, earning her D.M.D. (Doctor of Dental Medicine) in 2010. During her dental school years, she received Harvard Presidential Scholarship 2005-2010, prestigious Stone Freedberg Research Fellowship in 2006, and Howard Hughes Research Fellowship in 2007-2008. She then went on to complete her residency training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital, and also received her M.D. from Harvard Medical School in 2013. Dr. Kim served as chief resident during her final year of residency, 2015-2016. Upon completion of her training, she was a faculty member at Massachusetts General Hospital, followed by an associateship in a group private practice in Northborough, MA, and in a multispecialty group practice in Woburn, MA.

Dr. Kim has extensive experience in the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, treating both pediatric and adult patients, including dental extractions and implants, wisdom teeth, pathology, and facial trauma. Her special interests include full arch rehabilitation, such as All-On-X (AOX) procedures and bone & soft tissue grafting procedures. Dr Kim has performed over 2000 arches of AOX procedures and is a leading expert on pterygoid and zygomatic implants. She has given multiple lectures in national conferences on these topics. Currently, she is a part time faculty and holds operating privileges at Boston Medical Center. Dr. Kim has a strong dedication to serving the community.
